Hi! I'm Katharina

I am an illustrator based in Dublin.

I create colourful designs, prints and greeting cards - everything made in my little home studio.

My goal is to explore and visit local places around Dublin and Ireland and to spread the excitement of daily wanders.

For me that's things like

  • Discovering little bits of local history
  • Exploring a local hiking trail
  • Noticing the flowers on the side of the road and the change of the season

But how did I get here?

About Me (in a nutshell)

Drawing and exploring the outdoors has always brought me joy but I was never brave enough to actually see it as a possible career. It took a very long detour to come back to creativity and art:

  • I grew up in Bavaria, Germany
  • I loved to draw, history and geography but studied "something useful": (Tourism) Management.
  • I didn't know what to do with this "useful" business degree and decided to continue my studies (thanks to the free German education system) and graduated with a degree in Cultural Geography (2019).
  • Moved to Dublin in 2020
  • Started working full-time as illustrator and artist (2025)
  • Completed artwork for Dublin Canvas (2025)
  • Joined several art markets across Dublin

In between, there were a lot of twists and turns that led me down many unknown and scary paths.

Follow Other Routes

To me, local heritage is a crucial building block in protecting our local environment and culture for future generations. Only if we understand the past, we can appreciate it in the present and preserve it for the future.

We live in a time where it is easier than ever before to travel across the globe - yet we often don't know much about the history of our local neighbourhood. We seek new adventures in foreign places and forget that we don't have to travel far to discover something new.

I hope to ignite a new curiosity to (re)discover local places around Dublin and in Ireland.
